Street View, Broadway & Bates - 1939 (ca.) - Greenstreet's Grocery
In 1935 the store was owned by J. F. (Mabel) Stirratt. By 1939 the store was called Greenstreet's Grocery, owned by W. B. (Vella) Greenstreet. It was located on Broadway at Bates. Note the bench between the trees which was used for the bus stop.

This is a view of the back side of Majestic Motors located on 3290 S. Acoma. The back is on the corner of S. Broadway and Greenwood Ave. Greenwood Ave. was later renamed Floyd Ave.

The view is to the West. The Englewood City Hall is located at 3385 S. Broadway. The house to the right is Dr. John Simon's house at 3345 S. Broadway. In the 1920's the Englewood Public Library started in a room rented in the house. Louthan Realty is located at 3342 S. Broadway. The empty lot is the location of the current Post Office.

The view is to the South from Floyd. Myer Drug Store was located at 3398 S. Broadway and Max Hessel's Standard Station was at 3395 S. Broadway. The intersection is Girard.

Street View, Broadway & Girard - 1920 - View to the North
The view is to the North on S. Broadway between Hampden and Girard. Note the street car tracks in the center of the photo. This photo was taken just south of Little Dry Creek in the 3400 block of S. Broadway. South Broadway was the first leagally established roud south of Denver. Locking the wheels of his wagon, Tom Skerritt drove back and forth until he made a recognizable trail from Little Dry Creek to Cherry Creek.
