The Porchlight Players, a local drama group, portrayed interesting citizens of the town buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Charley (Charles H.) Johnson died about July 26, 1901. He was a Dotsero cattleman who was murdered by a gunshot to the back of the head and found in the Grand River on July 30, 1901. Accused of cattle thieving, Johnson had been at enmity with his neighbors for some time.
