McCoy hunters, horses and dog on Piney Creek in October 1907. From left, Emmett Quinlan, Fritz Arendt, Harry Groh. F. W. Ambos is taking the picture.
In McCoy Memoirs, p. 10, there is the same shot only with F. W. Ambos included and Harry Groh taking the picture. According to John Ambos, "In the early years of the 1900's deer were not plentiful in the McCoy area."

"Uncle Jake Borah's camp site in Colorado near Sweetwater Lake". Two tents are visible for the camp with several men and horses (plus one pack mule) surrounding the area. A spit in the center holds what appears to be a bear strung up by his feet with other small animals attached. A smattering of snow remains on the small ridge behind the camp. Jake Borah is possibly the second man from right in a wide-brim hat., Duplicate, clearer copy of 2017.010.232.
