In 2014, the Nottingham Family was recognized for all the contributions over the years to Avon and Eagle County. Allan and Mauri accepted the award for the family.

Friends of the Allen family gather for a cocktail party on December 30, 1950. "Judy and I [Jean Allen] had a cocktail party before alumni banquet and dance (our house on Broadway)." Judith Allen announced her engagement to Robert Burford. They married three months later on March 17, 1951.
