L. J. Borah leans against a horse near his home on Gypsum Creek. Taken in 1944, about six months before he passed away. "This is a picture of my Dad, L. J. which was taken about 6 months before he passed away, he was 54 years old. This is the ranch house you, your mother, came for a visit, probably about 1930." -- Marvin Borah

Kathy (Perkins) McDaniel, granddaughter of Alda Borah, stands near some old farm equipment at L. J. Borah's ranch on Gypsum Creek. Taken in 1979.
L. W. Green
Studio photo of Mr. L. W. Green, superintendent of Eagle County High School. Photo was in the Pirates Log 1950 [yearbook] for the High School. Mr. Green graduated from Greeley State Teachers College, earning his bachelor of arts degree in education and his masters degree. He taught school at Eagle and later served for 17 years as superintendent of schools in Gypsum. In 1956 he moved to Rifle where he was superintendent for the RE-2 school district, retiring in December 1974.
La Cave interior, Vail
A view of the dining room in La Cave, a former French restaurant in Vail. La Cave was opened on New Year's Eve 1963, by Jim Slevin. It was a popular restaurant for dinnertime meals and was located in the basement of the Plaza Lodge. Slevin sold La Cave in 1968 to Peter Cremaris. From the verso, "French and Basque cuisine. Intimate atmosphere. Cocktails - Dinner - Dancing."
LaGrow home
LaGrow home, builit on East Cooley Mesa near Gypsum, in 1900. The LaGrow family moved to Gypsum in the 1970s.
Ladder on Castle Peak
A group clamors up a makeshift ladder built into the side of Castle Peak leading to the lookout station. "Steps" can be seen in the lower right corner leading to a ladder/stairway.
