Main Street Red Cliff
-
Main Street in Red Cliff (possibly 1892-1907), storefronts visible for bakery and restaurant, general mercantile ("boots and shoes made to order") and Quartzite Hotel. A wagon and horse team are parked in left foreground. The street is not paved and appears to be muddy.
"The Quartzite Hotel (sign atop building behind the flag pole on the right) was run, and presumably, owned by the William Greiners for several years between 1900 and 1910. This may date the photo as late as 1907." -- Jim McMillen

Main Street, Gilman
-
A postcard of Main Street in Gilman. The Gilman School is visible in the foreground on the right. This was the "business street" of Gilman. Several cars line the street in front of the various stores. This postcard was sent by an Edward, who lived in Gilman, to Bessie Clark of Grand Island, Nebraska.

Main Street, Minturn
-
Minturn's main street in May--June 1957. Minturn Mercantile store is on the right, Williams Motel on the left. The main street is packed and oiled dirt.
The photo is a good example of an ink caption bleeding through the photograph (examine upper left).
