McCoy's first high school
"The teacher and girl students of McCoy's first High School of 1925. They are [from left]: Dora Ault, Florence Panting, Ethel Brooks, Mary Quinlan (teacher), Emma Panting and Mabel Van Horn. The building was just a made over shed and supplied by Mr. Van Horn, who was living on the former Frank Groh ranch at that time. The school equipment would probably draw a laugh from one of today's teachers but the students who graduated are comparable to the high school graduate of today." -- McCoy Memoirs p.52 [Title supplied from catalog prepared by the Eagle County Historical Society.]
McCoyites at Hotel Denver
"A group of former McCoyites at Glenwood Springs in 1964. Left to right: Harry Groh, Mrs. Frank Groh, Mrs. Katherine Tuyls, Frank Groh, Jessie Groh, Mae Grimes, Ferdinand Ambos, Elsie Brooks, Hollis Brooks and Lulu Horn." -- McCoy Memoirs p.211 [Title supplied from catalog prepared by the Eagle County Historical Society.]
McGlochlin ranch
"An old barn still standing on the former Ralph McGlochlin ranch on the east side of Wolcott Divide." -- McCoy Memoirs p.195 "To write about the McGlochlin family and their activities would require a complete book. Three brothers Ralph, Al and Melvin hailed from Harrison, Missouri. After coming to Colorado they located in Northern Eagle County in the spring of 1898. That year Ralph worked for John Conger, a Piney Creek rancher. But the next year he decided to locate a homestead for himself on Wolcott Divide which he improved and lived on for six or seven years." -- p,193 [Title supplied from catalog prepared by the Eagle County Historical Society.]
