: Sunnyside Irrigation Project (Mesa County, Colorado); A failed interest that had set up near the head waters of Plateau Creek on the Grand Mesa, about where Vega Reservoir would later be formed. The intent was to take water from the source of Plateau Creek. However, the project collapsed for reasons unknown.

: Sure Strike tackle company (Denver, Colorado); The Sure Strike company was founded by Denver high school student and fly fisherman Jo Ann Durand. She most likely learned fly tying from her father, who was the owner of a sporting goods store. According to a relative of Durand, she hired women to tie the flies while she was at school or at lessons. Her company was known all over North America. When she left for college in Ft. According to Edith Marie (Huffer) Sisac, co-founder of the first ski areas on the Grand Mesa and owner with her husband of the Mesa Lakes Resort, Durand sold the business to Roger Nash, an expert fly fisherman who often fished with Edith’s husband, Raymond “Russ” Sisac. Nash eventually left Mesa County and moved to Denver with the company. He ran the company for thirty years.

: Surface Creek Historical Society (Cedaredge, Colorado); An historical society preserving the history of Cedaredge and the surrounding area since 1981. The organization also administers Pioneer Town, a local history attraction.

: Sworn Us Under; Heavy Metal Band SWORN US UNDER is a fresh sound of Metal Riffs and Daunting Vocals that speak to your soul! Sworn Us Under incorporates a tasty level of Headbanging Grooves and Lead Playing Finesse from Guitar Duo Dean Mestas and Chris Gordon that draws from many influences. The band is going strong on their 10th year. They have earned a following in their native Grand Junction, Colorado sharing the stage with big name acts such as Hatebreed, Bobaflex, OTEP, Hemlock, Iced Earth, Powerman 5000, Cephalic Carnage, Scarlet Canary and The Anchor. The band has also earned a sponsorship with Steve Clayton Picks. Along with T.V. appearances, numerous Live Shows and Grand Valley Live Magazine's April, 2018 Cover, the band gets regular airplay and has has been interviewed by local Alternative Radio Station 106.9 KMZK, DRIVE 105.3 and 91.3 KMSA. : TCTV; Telluride Community Television was a public access channel on cable channel 12. They broadcasted until 2022. Telluride TV provides a voice for the community through media arts education, community-based content and access to broadcasting.
