The Colorado and Southern Railway was an American Class I railroad in the western United States that operated independently from 1898 to 1908, then as part of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad until it was absorbed into the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1981.
A title company founded in 1905 by J. Ernest Leverton. Leverton was a graduate of the University of Illinois law school. Richard Williams purchased the business in 1958 and consolidated it with the Independent Abstract Company, which he already owned.

Throughout its history the Colorado Cattlemen's Association has sought scientific knowledge about stock growing and marketing, and has lobbied to promote favorable governmental policies. A women's auxiliary organization to the Cattleman's Association. It is concerned with the promotion of beef production and consumption. Cattlewomen's organizations exist in Arizona, Wyoming and other states. The Cattlewomen were originally called the Cowbelles, and some of the county-level groups retain this name. Interviewee Marie (Becker) Young recalled that the early Mesa County Cowbelles would hold socials and entertainments to fundraise for the group when necessary.
