- A business owned and operated by James D. Gorman, an Irish immigrant, in the early Twentieth century. Before Gorman passed away, he sold the business to B.M. Price.

- Eagle County Historical Society
- Eagle County is renowned for its world-class ski resorts and high-end real estate. But before the skiers and developers arrived, the county had a history that involved the nomadic Utes, adventurous mountain men, optimistic miners, and hard-working homesteaders. The people and trends of the past made the county what it is today. Understanding what came before gives perspective to where we are now. The Eagle County Historical Society works hard to preserve and share the county’s rich history. Knowing and understanding the people and forces that shaped the past makes us a better community today. The Eagle County Historical Society is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to educate Eagle County residents and visitors about Eagle County’s rich history. To that end, the society will maintain archives that are available to the public, operate a historical museum, and offer educational programs and special events related to the county’s history. The Eagle County Historical Society was started in 1974 by a group of local residents who had long-term ties to the county, and were eager to preserve local history. They obtained a non-profit status, which we have maintained to this day. They collected artifacts and written histories of the county. The current Board of Directors has over the past 10 years, “modernized” the ECHS by creating a digitized accession record system for the museum, organizing a staff of volunteer and paid museum docents, creating a website and Facebook page. We are a volunteer-run organization. Our only paid employees are five part-time museum docents and our newly-hired part-time administrator, who also handles the bookkeeping. Although we are a small organization in a resort county that is overloaded with non-profits, the ECHS has in recent years gained recognition and participation through its various services and special programs. We are grateful to our volunteers and for the support from the community. The ECHS can point to a number of successes, including a growing membership, a variety of programs that make the organization more visible in the community, and increasing citizen participation in ECHS events. - Eagles Ball Club (Grand Junction, Colorado)
- A local baseball organization that held a yearly tournament. Peter Matteroli, Sid Holt, Tom Young, Jim Callison, Rudy Susman, Dr. O.O. Taylor, Phil Dufford, and Ray Boggs served on the board. The team was sponsored originally by the Eagle's Lodge and maintained the Eagles name in later years. The Eagles Ball Club was also responsible for improvements to the baseball field in Lincoln Park, including the construction of an outfield fence.
