Wilson McCarthy
Wilson McCarthy administered the Rio Grande Railroad property as a trustee. He was a wealthy businessman connected with the Walker Brothers bank in Salt Lake City.
Wilson Rockwell
Wilson Rockwell was the author of a book called Sunset Slope, a series of short histories about events in Western Colorado history during the late 1890s and early 1900s. He later created a series of radio plays based in part on his book, and they were broadcast in the Grand Junction area on KREX during the late 1950’s or early 1960’s. He also wrote other books on Western Colorado history, including The Utes: A Forgotten People and Uncompahgre.
