In a retrospective video covering her period as Artist in Residence at 970West Studio in Mesa County Libraries, Pavia Justinian talks about the inspiration to create art that she receives from found objects in the world around her. She speaks about creative process, color, composition, form and materials that she uses in the creation of mixed media and sculpture. She describes a series of her art pieces, made before and during her residency, that utilize Fibonacci spirals. She discusses classes and programs that she gave during her residency, teaching techniques, and the joy that she gained from introducing adults to art. She talks about the challenges but ultimate benefits of social interaction with library patrons and the public during her residency at 970West, and about the ability of the Artist in Residence program to bring together artists from the broader community.
