Associated with the Eagle Valley Community Fund (EVCF), the EVCF Annual Rummage Sale was inaugurated by a group of Vail women as a fund-raiser for the first teacher in the community of Vail. Ultimately, the EVCF Rummage Sale, and its associated nonprofit umbrella, the Eagle County Community Fund, raised nearly $6 million dollars for Eagle County nonprofit organizations between 1965 and 2017. Vi Brown, Nancy Waring Nottingham and Merv Lapin were mainstays of this popular Eagle County, Colorado entity and function.
