: Commencement; The 1961 Western commencement exercises were held May 26, 1961 in Taylor Hall Auditorium. Officiating was the newly-appointed President Grant Venn, Dean Kjosness, Faculty Dean Cummins, Graduate Studies Chairman McCulloch, and Trustees Leslie J. Savage and Joseph Weber.

"The fact that Central Hall looks a little cleaner and darker than North and South halls could mean that Central Hall was just completed. So this commencement was probably held in the spring of 1930.
