Victory Bell (Annex Bell) outside the second campus club house, ca. 1955. The Victory Bell was used to celebrate sports victories and other occasions. This is probably the second of three victory bells belonging to the college. According to Abbott Fay's "Mountain Academia", the first bell was given to WSC by the town of Gunnison but was melted down in a World War II scrap drive. The second bell, a gift of Gunnison Schools, was broken in 1956. The third bell was donated by Delta County Schools.
