The view is to the North on S. Broadway between Hampden and Girard. Note the street car tracks in the center of the photo. This photo was taken just south of Little Dry Creek in the 3400 block of S. Broadway. South Broadway was the first leagally established roud south of Denver. Locking the wheels of his wagon, Tom Skerritt drove back and forth until he made a recognizable trail from Little Dry Creek to Cherry Creek. Broadway was a quagmire after a rain as shown in this 19520 photograph. (from Englewood, Colorado 1903-1978)
