A view of the Gasthof "Hotel" Gramshammer, taken in the mid to late 1960s. Located at the corner of Bridge Street and Gore Creek Drive, the Gasthof Gramshammer opened in 1964 and was operated by Pepi and Sheika Gramshammer. Construction of the hotel began in early 1964, and was officially opened on December 18, 1964, though "guests had to help carry furniture up, and the ceiling on the bar wasn't finished." Pepi and Sheika's business partners, Howard Head, Ronny Balcomb, and “Cotty” Davison, were the hotel's first guests.
