Eagle Valley Enterprise, June 30, 1934 p. 4: from the obituary (Mr. Tippett died June 18, 1934):
"Mr. Tippett came to Red Cliff from Rifle twenty-four years ago and began to work as a bookkeeper for the Fleming Lumber company. He soon became a partner in the firm and for years has been secretary and treasurer of the company. He was a perfect bookkeeper and accountant and there was no phase of the lumber business that he was not thoroughly familiar with. He was a beautiful penman, an art now almost lost, and he took great pride in his ability with pen and ink."
