John Jacob Happel: History, Discovery
Edgar Hunt writes a letter to Buster Beck describing many historical links he has found concerning one particular pioneer. When Hunt was young, he uncovered a box tucked away with letters and documents. As it turned out, the papers belonged to a man named John Jacob Happel and Hunt was the only one to know that the papers were there. Hunt describes his own genealogy work, which led him to contact Beck, as well as the research and history of mining claims, pioneers, and ranches of the area at the time. Complete with citations and references to historical documents, Hunt has uncovered helpful and interesting historical research.
