Correl James "Pete" DeGraw "...moved to Eagle County in 1924, and homesteaded on Bellyache Mountain. He then worked on the Blue River near Kremmling for a short time, and was later in the sheep business before buying a ranch on Eby Creek and raising cattle. Mr. DeGraw married the former Ruby Ping on April 9, 1941.
He was a brand inspector in Eagle County for 40 years. He was also a rural mail carrier for 18 years, delivering mail from Eagle to Woods Lake in Summer months and between Eagle and Sylvan Lake in the winter season. Pete and Ruby DeGraw's house in Eagle Colorado, taken sometime in the 1940s. Pete (Correl James) DeGraw was a brand inspector in Eagle County for 40 years. He was also a rural mail carrier for 18 years, delivering mail from Eagle to Woods Lake in summer months and between Eagle and Sylvan Lake in the winter season. He also rode in the Salt Creek Cattle Pool for several years.
Ruby Elizabeth Ping DeGraw was the daughter of Otis and Minnie Ping. She worked for several years on a ranch in Eagle and was a great cook and homemaker.
