Red Cliff, Colorado, Prior to 1883
This stereoscopic view of Red Cliff, Colorado (facing southeast) was taken by William Henry Jackson some time in the late 1800s. It's likely this image is from before 1883, since the caption states that the image is of Red Cliff, Summit County, Colorado. Red Cliff was a part of Summit County for a few years before 1883. In 1883, Eagle County was formed and Red Cliff became the county seat.

Red Lion Inn
A view of the dining room in the Red Lion Inn, located in Vail. The Red Lion Inn was built by Marge and Larry Burdick in 1962. It opened to the public in February of 1963. The Inn was sold in the 1980s, and was purchased by various groups of Vail locals, fist in September of 1988, and again in November of 2000. The Inn is still open. From the verso, "Featuring excellent cuisine, wine cocktails and people. Outdoor dining in the sun and indoor dining by the fireplace. Your hosts Marge and Larry Burdick."
