Sunday School Picnic, 1919
A Sunday School picnic, organized by one of the local churches in Gypsum. The picnic was held on August 10, 1919.
Sunday School at Cottonwood School
"Prior to 1911, Sunday School services were held regularly at the Cottonwood School, after that, at the McCoy Hall. From left to right in this 1909 group, in the back row are: Harry Groh, Arthur Horn, Cliff Daniels, Willie Elliott, George Nimon, George Porter, Clyde Helm. Middle row: Bob Evans, Lottie Elliott, Lola Elliott, Mattie Graves (Lulu Horn's sister), Edith Stifel, Annie, Nettie and baby Florence Panting. In front: Irvine, Marie, and Nannie Elliott, Mr. Towers, Tom, Ellen and Grandmother Elliott. The boys are Reuben Stifel and Frank Panting, Jr. Arthur Horn usually acted as Sunday School superintendant.
