A football game with the band on the field and the people in the rooter section. This high school field was located west of the post office, near the current location of First National Bank; Fort Lewis College used it until its own field was built in 1957 on Reservoir Hill (there was only a practice field at the Hesperus campus)., The game was at the Durango municipal field.
