Tracey Russell Miller
A professor in linguistics and an expert in the English dialects spoken in Appalachia. He conducted his original linguistic research in Eastern Tennessee from 1970-1972 while a doctoral student at the University of Tennessee, and published his dissertation, An Investigation of the Regional English of Unicoi County, Tennessee, in 1973. He lived in Grand Junction, Colorado in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, where he was the president of the Intermountain Bible College.
