- Ute Osborne
- An early settler and prospector in Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. According to a story he told Charles Burg, Osborne was kidnapped by the Ute as a child, but brought back to his parents in a few days. Together with Edwin Weckel, he owned interest in a cattle-ranching operation near the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation in Eastern Utah.
