- Cook served in World War I and attained the rank of PFC CO L. He served in the 8th Infantry.

- Willis "W.L." Blevins
- He came to Rifle, Colorado with his mother in 1912 and married Lotus Hocker in Glenwood Springs in 1918. In response to interest in a building project of the Redlands Water and Power Company, he and his wife came to Mesa County in 1920. They bought land for a farm in the Redlands area, with Willis growing potatoes, corn and fruit trees. With Ray Pierson, he pioneered the growing of fruit in the Redlands. For twenty years, he worked for Independent Lumber, and then owned his own company called Blevins-Denning Lumber. Also, he served on the Redlands School District Board for twenty-six years.
