: Winston Morgan; Winston Morgan was born in South Wales and arrived in the US in 1915. He married Helen in 1936 in Denver. They then moved to Lafayette, CO and had two children. Winston had several jobs including on the tipple at the Industrial Mine in Superior, for Montgomery Ward and Company, as a U.S. Marine in World War II, and then for the Western Wayne Inspection Bureau in Denver. At one time, Winston was appointed to fill a vacancy on the town board and was then elected in the 1946 election cycle. That same year he was chosen to be mayor by City Council. Winston was on the city council for 6 years.
