Bob Pierce
Bob Pierce was born July 20, 1885, in Montevello, Missouri. As a young man, he moved to Hotchkiss, Colorado, where he was employed by the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. His entire working life was with the Railroad. He moved to Salida in 1909 and became supervisory agent with the railroad until his retirement in 1955.
Bob Rush
Mr. Rush served as district attorney in Salida, Colorado and was always active in the community he loved, serving on the Salida Board of Education, Salida Hospital District board of directors and on the board of several financial institutions. He was the attorney for Sangre de Cristo Electric Association for about 30 years. In addition to his law degree he had a bachelor’s degree in international business. Mr. Rush was an avid golfer and was Salida Golf Club president in 1960 and served on its board of directors. He was also involved in the Chaffee County Democratic Party and was a member of Salida Elks Lodge No. 808 and the Masonic Lodge.
