She has a storied career in the area including as a Western Girl and at IBM, a stay-at-home mom, the Recreation Director for the city of Lafayette, a Parent Teacher Organization member, volunteer at the Lafayette Fire Department, owner and creator of Sadlers' Flyer Delivery Service, and a realtor. She married Jay Sadler on December 16, 1967, and they have three children.
