Charles Nachtrieb

Charles Nachtrieb, born April 29, 1833, is the namesake of the town of Nathrop, Colorado. He owned the ranch land that the Denver, South Park, & Pacific and the Denver & Rio Grande Railrays ran through. Nachtrieb built a hotel at Nathrop Station, a junction on the line to St. Elmo, Colorado.

Charles Porta was born in Louisville, CO on October 9, 1908. He began working in the mines at age 15.5 and he worked as a coal miner for thirty years. He married Anna Lostaka on July 5, 1932 and they had no children.
