- The 1910 Census shows Clark as a land proprietor in Paradox Valley, Colorado, involved in the gold and copper industry. According to oral history interviewees Earl Foster and Ella O'Brien, Clark was a friend of Henry "Indian Henry" Huff. He and Indian Henry would capture their horses from the wild herds in the area.
