Born in Gunnison in 1919, bought his ranch in 1937, married wife Delight in 1945. The couple have two grown children. Served on the Cattlemen's Days Association for more than 50 years, including as President in 1952. Former member of Gunnison School Board and Gunnison Stockgrowers Association. Parade Marshall of the 1997 Cattlemen's Days. Grandfather and Grandmother Rouvieres immigrated from France in 1890 to the town of Iola, which is now submerged under Blue Mesa Reservoir.
