: Lawrence Phelps; Born in Gunnison in 1919, bought his ranch in 1937, married wife Delight in 1945. The couple have two grown children. Served on the Cattlemen's Days Association for more than 50 years, including as President in 1952. Former member of Gunnison School Board and Gunnison Stockgrowers Association. Served on the National Cattlemen's Association Board of Directors for more than 30 years.
