Albert Humeston
He was born in Humeston, Iowa. He married Ida Van Derley on June 25, 1902, and they moved to Collbran, Colorado in February of 1903. He worked as a merchant with Emerson Collins, where he hired a freighter to bring regular shipments of stock from the DeBeque railroad station to his shop. He also worked as the postmaster of Collbran (a post he held for 28 years -- 1913-1941). He was a member of the Disciples of Christ, and a member of a barbershop quartet with Mr. Stiles and Benn Pitts.
Albert James Turner Sr.
He was born in Huerfano County, Colorado to Nathan J. and Catherine Turner. In 1887 he moved with his parents and siblings to the Mesa County, Colorado and Grand County, Utah area, where the family ranched near the Bookcliffs. Along with the Cunningham family and his brothers Albert and Charles, he became the owner of the Cisco Ranch. He married Anna "Laura" (Brown) Turner in Mesa County in 1916. She died in a flash flood on Diamond Creek in Utah in 1939. He was the father of Charles (Jr.), Albert (Jr.), and Warren Turner.
Albert King
Early resident of Crested Butte, Colorado. Died in the Jokerville Mine Explosion on January 24, 1884.
