Left to right: Pepi Gramshammer, President Gerald R. Ford, First Lady Betty Ford, Sheika Gramshammer, and Bob Knous. Beginning in 1960s Vail, the Ford and Gramshammer families became close friends. This image was probably captured at the 1990 American Ski Classic in Beaver Creek at a Diners Club Ford Cup celebrity ski event. Gramshammer also raced in the American Ski Classic Legends of Skiing event. Knous was president of Vail Valley Foundation between 1986 and 1990.
